In a rare feat, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute become India’s first hospital to implant a pacemaker in a 102 year old lady from Panipat, giving her a new lease of life. The operation was led by Dr Aparna Jaswal, Senior Consultant, Department of Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. Supported by an able team of cardiologist and anesthetists, Dr Jaswal performed the surgery in less than 20 minutes.
