The department of Histopathology gives opinion on specimens from Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Urology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Respiratory Medicine and highly specialized areas such as Oncology and Transplant units. Immunohistochemistry offers updated diagnostic and prognostic applications in the field of oncology. Frozen section technique allows rapid diagnosis for immediate decisions regarding intra-operative and postoperative patient management.
