Dr Ankush R.Pawar is working as consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Fortis Escorts Liver and Digestive diseases Institute, Okhla, New Delhi. He received his DM Gastroenterology degree from Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital (GIPMER, MAMC), New Delhi. During the three years of his formal training there, he gained considerable expertise in both routine and emergency endoscopic and colonoscopic procedures.Post-DM, due to his inclination towards pancreatico-biliary sciences, he continued his training further, in the same institute,in advanced and sophisticated procedures like Endoscopic ultrasound and Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreaticography.These are not only diagnostic but are powerful therapeutic modalities for treatment and palliation of complex Gastrointestinal diseases. He has technical and cognitive skills of performing and analysing High Resolution Manometry required for managing numerous esophageal and rectal diseases.
