Dr (Col) Surendra Pratap Singh is the Principal Consultant, Internal Medicine at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. He has given 29 years of service to Army Medical Corps; from 1981-till date, with postings as Medical Officer in Field/Peace units initially up to 1995 and as Medical Specialist in Peripheral, Zonal and Tertiary care hospitals from 1996 onwards. Dr. (Col) S.P. Singh has served as the Staff Officer, Medical Administration, with the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia. Later, he was the Deputy Dean, Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi.

 
He has been awarded with the Chief Of the Army Staff Commendation for his contribution in the establishment and running of the Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi.

Dr. (Col) S.P. Singh’s areas of interest include infectious diseases, Thyroid disorders and Diabetes Mellitus. He takes special interest in patient care activities which goes on to establish a very reassuring doctor-patient relationship through assurance, explanation, participative management and thorough counseling. He has been closely involved in teaching and training activities of Graduate and Post Graduate students at Army Hospitals.
