The Department of Respiratory Medicine offers comprehensive service for patients with airway and lung disorders including asthma, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pleural diseases, chest infections, allergic diseases, interstitial lung disease, sleep related breathing disorders and chronic cough to name a few.

The department offers facilities like Pulmonary Function Testing(with diffusion studies), 2 bedded Sleep Lab, Videobronchoscopy (including Bronchoalveolar lavage, Transbronchial biopsy, Transbronchial Needle aspiration, Bronchial brushings) and Medical Thoracoscopy. Various bronchoscopic interventions such as endobronchial LASERs, placement of stents, Intrabronchial radiation, Removal of foreign body, Balloon tamponading are performed with great skill.
Patients with Respiratory emergencies are provided protocolised care in the modernly designed medical ICU.
